Britt Peterson (CEO, LBC Central)

Brad Dydalewicz (LBC Central Co-Youth Director)

Originally from Austin, Brad was a three-sport letterman at Lake Travis High School, class of 2008, earning All-Academic and All-District Honors in all three sports. In 2006, Brad was chosen to participate in the USA Junior Olympic team trials and the Perfect Game Top 100 Showcase held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Brad was a First-Team, 2008 4A All-State selection, as well as the 4A MVP in the state of Texas.  As a result of his accolades, he earned a baseball scholarship to The University of Arizona.  That same year, Coach Brad played in the Texas High School All-Star Game and the Under Armour High School All-American Game in Cape Cod. Brad opted to sign professionally after being drafted by the Houston Astros in the 8th round of the 2008, playing five professional seasons.

Ryan Bennett (LBC High School Program)

While growing up in the Chicago area, Ryan Bennett played 3 years of varsity baseball and basketball.    After high school, Ryan accepted a scholarship to play baseball at Austin Peay State University.  While at Austin Peay, he became the first catcher—and remains the only catcher—in Austin Peay history to hit .400 during a season. His .407 batting average remains seventh best in APSU history and helped lead the Govs to a school-record 44 victories and the program’s first NCAA appearance. He had 99 hits that season.  The Waukegan, Ill., native set the APSU mark, which stills stands, for doubles with 29 while also driving in 58 runs in 66 games.  In 2011, Ryan was inducted into the Austin Peay Athletic Hall of Fame.  
After college, Ryan caught in the New York Mets organization from 1996 to 2002, reaching AAA in his final season of professional baseball.  While playing in the minor leagues, he was voted as a top 10 managerial prospect.  His older brother Gary, caught in the big leagues for 10 years, winning the World Series in 2006 with the St. Louis Cardinals.  
After his playing days, Ryan coached Division 1 Fairfield University in Connecticut, before relocating to Austin, Tx.  While in Austin, he has coached 16U, 12U, and 11U select baseball teams.  Ryan has given individual, team, and camp instruction for over 15 years.  His former players include:  Parker French(University of Texas) currently with Colorado Rockies, Cole Arledge (catcher at Harvard), and Robert Baldwin(catcher at Yale).  
 

Huston Street (LBC Central, Board Member)

Huston grew up locally in Austin and went to high school at Westlake where he starred in both baseball and football. 

Huston attended the University of Texas at Austin where he was an All-American and 2002 National Champion. He was selected in the 1st Round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland A's and played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball for the Oakland A's, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres and the Angels. 

Huston won the MLB Rookie of the Year Award in 2005, and was named an All-Star in 2012 and 2014.

Chase Jenkins (LBC Central)

Born and reared in Houston, Texas, Chase was raised around competitive baseball. The elevated talent level from the Houston area select baseball teams, combined with the Austin and Dallas travel ball players groomed Chase and prepared him for High school baseball. He attended Humble High School where he was a 3 year varsity letterman as a 1B/OF/P. He earned multiple team honors under Coach David Sitton, as well as 1st team all district and was selected to play for the 5a Houston all star team in 2006. The summer before his senior year Chase was approached by Coach Skip Johnson and offered a scholarship to play baseball at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas. After a short college career due to injury, Chase continued to stay physically active and play recreational baseball while working in the corporate world. He then received an opportunity to coach baseball in the Austin area. With a background in baseball and strength and conditioning he prepares players physically and mentally to perform at their best in all areas. He respects the game and has a passion driven by experience and knowledge to better each ball player on and off the field until the last out. 

Marcel Carter (LBC Central)

Marcel was born in El Paso Texas and was raised in the Austin area. He went to Bowie high school in Austin where he played baseball and basketball. He was a three year letter winner in baseball and was voted unanimous first team all district selection at 3rd base his senior year as well as playing in the Austin area all star game. After High school Marcel went on to play at Abilene Christian University as a utility player where he started in the outfield and spent some time playing in the middle infield. He played 3rd base at coastal bend college as well.

Will Hall (LBC Central)

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Will grew up playing for the most elite sports teams in multiple sports across Central Texas.  While at Austin High School, Will was a three sport letterman playing baseball, soccer, and lacrosse.  After graduating, Will went on to play soccer at the University of San Diego. His wide range of experience as a competitive multi-sport athlete gives him a unique ability to pass on wisdom not only pertaining to the game of baseball, but also to help players’ overall approach to competition and development as athletes.  

Gary Bennett (Board Member)

Gary Bennett is a former MLB catcher who was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 11th round of the 1990 MLB draft. Bennett played in the Majors for 13 seasons with eight different teams including the Phillies, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, Washington Nationals, St Louis Cardinals, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Additionally, Bennett was a member of the 2006 World Series Champion St Louis Cardinals. Bennett is heavily involved in the child development realm. He is currently the principal owner at Slammers Baseball and Softball Academy in Lake Forrest,IL, a board member at the Oak Grove School Educational Foundation, a board member at CASA of Lake County IL, a board member at Science of Sport, and board member at the Libertyville Little League and Libertyville Youth Baseball organizations. Bennett also currently serves as FOX Sports Midwest game analyst for the St Louis Cardinals. Other ventures Bennett is involved in include TAB-Group LLC, a residential real estate company, and GDB Enterprises Ltd, a medical device Corporation.
 

JT Blair (Advisory Board Member)

Coach J.T. Blair graduated from Denton High School where he played both baseball and football.  After high school, Blair was an All Conference catcher at Navarro College before finishing his playing career at U.T. Pan American.  
Coach Blair began his coaching career as an assistant coach in both baseball and football at Denton Ryan H.S. before moving on to Carrollton Newman Smith H.S. where he became the head baseball coach in 2003.  Coach Blair also served as Coach Dodge’s head baseball coach in Marble Falls before joining the Westlake staff in June.  In Coach Blair’s 13 seasons as head coach,  10 of his teams advanced to the state playoffs.  Three of those teams advanced to the regional finals.  Blair has been named “Coach of the Year” three times and in his first year in the Austin Area was elected to coach the South All Stars. During Blair’s head coaching tenure, over 70 young men have received college scholarships.  Blair has also had 12 players drafted by major league organizations.   Coach Blair is currently a part time scout for the Tampa Bay Rays and has also worked as an associate scout for both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds. 

During the summers Blair has twice led the DBAT Mustangs 18U to the Connie Mack World Series finals in 2011 and 2012.  Blair has also coached in the Texas Collegiate League leading the Coppell Copperheads to a league championship in 2009.  Coach Blair has coached several players who are currently in the Major Leagues including Brock Holt (Boston Red Sox), Preston Claiborne (San Francisco Giants), Michael Bolsinger (Los Angeles Dodgers),  Nathan Karns (Tampa Bay Rays) and Zach Neal (Oakland Athletics).

At Westlake High School, Coach Blair teaches Social Studies and also serves as an assistant football coach. Coach Blair and his wife Brittany have two children, Brodie, who is eight years old and Brooklyn who is six.

Our mission is to develop athletic talent and to provide advanced training to maximize physical performance, increase sport specific intelligence and prepare the athlete for the next level of competition. Our goal is to provide a winning experience through professionally run sports programs. We believe that the best way for athletes to reach their true potential is through a combination of professional coaching, maximum practice repetitions and significant game experience. The Academy emphasizes long term athletic development. This emphasis inevitably leads to higher participation rates and, subsequently, a larger pool of athletes who will be better prepared for the next level of competition. It's a win-win for the athletes and their future coaches.
